PBR Announces 2025 Competition Schedule for Elite Unleash The Beast

Premier Unleash The Beast to hold 23 regular season events, prior to three-part World Finals across Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas at Cowtown Coliseum and AT&T Stadium

PBR’s Unleash The Beast to debut in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Palm Springs, California, while returning to Wichita, Kansas, and Ontario, California, for the first time in more than a decade

FORT WORTH, Texas (August 26, 2024) – The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) today announced its 2025 competition schedule for its elite Unleash The Beast, set to bring the world’s top 40 bull riders and rankest bovine athletes to 25 cities across 20 states.

Throughout the seven-month individual season, the premier Unleash The Beast will hold 23 regular season events, highlighted by PBR’s debut in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the first-ever elite tour event in Palm Springs, California, and a return to both Ontario, California, and Wichita, Kansas. The season will conclude with the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast in Texas. The sport’s most prestigious event will begin in Fort Worth at Cowtown Coliseum with Eliminations from May 8-11 and Ride For Redemption from May 14-15, concluding with the Championship in Arlington at AT&T Stadium from May 17-18.

For the third consecutive season, the Unleash The Beast campaign will begin in Tucson, Arizona, at Tucson Arena, when the 2025 season opens on Nov. 15-16, 2024.

The following weekend, on Nov. 23-24, for the first time in nearly 15 years, the premier series will travel to Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. While the PBR Pendelton Whisky Velocity Tour visited the city annually from 2014-18, the Unleash The Beast hasn’t bucked in Ontario since August 2010.

PBR premier series competition will continue throughout December, as the Unleash The Beast bucks back to St. Louis, Missouri, for the 26th time, stopping at the Enterprise Center on Dec. 7-8, before returning to INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas on Dec.13-14 for the first time since 2011. Wichita returns to the Unleash The Beast schedule after the city has held a popular Velocity Tour event annually since 2014.

The Unleash The Beast will then return to the Northeast holding events in Manchester, New Hampshire (SNHU Arena), and Albany, New York (MVP Arena) on Dec. 20-21 and Dec. 27-28, respectively.

The 2025 calendar year will begin with PBR’s 18th trip to the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” as Madison Square Garden in New York City hosts the Unleash The Beast on Jan. 3-5.

Following return trips to both Chicago, Illinois (Jan. 10-11 | Allstate Arena) and Houston, Texas (Jan. 17-18 | Toyota Center), the Unleash The Beast will debut in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at PPG Paints Arena on Jan. 24-25, one year after the premier series sold-out a three-day event in nearby Johnstown.

The Unleash The Beast will then return to California for the second time during the 2025 season, visiting Golden1 Center in Sacramento, California on Jan. 31-Feb. 2. The fan-favorite event in California will be followed by just the sixth ever Unleash The Beast event held in Salt Lake City, Utah, when the premier series returns to Delta Center, home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz and the National Hockey League’s Utah Hockey Club, on Feb. 7-8.

PBR’s Unleash The Beast will also visit Indianapolis (Feb. 14-15 | Gainbridge Fieldhouse) and Jacksonville, Florida (Feb. 22-23 | VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena) to conclude February, before an action-packed start to March, including return trips to Milwaukee, Wisconsin (March 1-2 | Fiserv Forum), Little Rock, Arkansas (March 8-9 | Simmons Bank Arena) and Louisville, Kentucky (March 15-16 | KFC Yum! Center).

The Unleash The Beast will then travel West, returning to California and debuting at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on March 21-23, before the season concludes with events in New Mexico, South Dakota, Billings and Nampa. For the first time in history, Tacoma will host the Unleash The Beast’s regular-season finale inside the Tacoma Dome before the World Finals to be held on April 26-27.

The PBR’s crown jewel, the 2025 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast, will return to the Lone Star State for the fourth consecutive season in May, again featuring a unique three-part, tournament-style format that will crown the 2025 PBR World Champion. Eliminations (May 8-11) and Ride For Redemption (May 14-15) will again take over Cowtown Coliseum, setting the 25-rider field that will compete at the Championship, scheduled for May 17-18 at AT&T Stadium in nearby Arlington, which will ultimately determine the season’s World Champion. For nearly two weeks, PBR will bring North Texas non-stop bull riding action like never before, along with can’t-miss, fun-for-all-ages fan programing throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The 2025 schedule announcement follows an historic 2024 individual campaign, as the PBR broke numerous attendance and competition records.

During the 2024 season, the premier Unleash The Beast hosted more than 536,000 fans, including selling out 18 event days.

On the dirt in 2024, a dominant Cassio Dias (Sao F. de Sales, Brazil) etched his name in the PBR record books inside AT&T Stadium, crowned the 2024 World Champion.

Persevering through what appeared to be a season-ending injury sustained during Eliminations, Dias, who donned the chaps of the late Lane Frost in his quest for bull riding glory, was released from the hospital and several days later outlasted a hard-charging John Crimber (Decatur, Texas) to become just the second rider in history to win the World Championship and Rookie of the Year honor in the same season.

The tour is in support of Sabrina’s recently announced album, Short n’ Sweet, out August 23 – preorder here. Earlier this month, Sabrina released her second single from the forthcoming album, “Please Please Please” – listen here and watch the music video here. Sabrina enlisted GRAMMY-Award-winning Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen as collaborators for the single. “Please Please Please” hit #1 on Spotify’s Global and US charts, #1 on Apple Music and this week, it debuted at #2  on the Billboard Hot 100. Sabrina debuted the song live at Governors Ball in New York earlier this month. Featured on several “Best of” lists after the festival, including Billboard and Rolling Stone, the former of which also declared “there’s an innate confidence in Carpenter’s presence onstage, an effortless ease that emerges as she exchanges winks and quips with the audience, then locks right back into performance mode an instant later”. Sabrina will also be headlining Outside Lands Music Festival on August 10th — this will be her first time performing at the San Francisco festival. Single Day and 3-Day tickets are currently on sale here

The album’s lead single, “Espresso,” was released in April and instantly became a smash hit. The Platinum-certified single became Sabrina’s fourth hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it’s currently #3 this week, and her first Top 5 on the chart where she now has two of the top three songs this week. It captured the #1 spot on the Spotify Global, US, and UK charts and hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached #1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. Of the single, Uproxx stated “Carpenter has a knack for coming up with pop hits, and “Espresso” has shown to be one of her biggest so far” while The New York Times heralded the single as the song ready to “propel her to the next level.” The sentiment has been proven true and the bonafide star blew fans away with her debut Coachella performance shortly following the release of “Espresso.” Los Angeles Times cited her among “The 15 Best Things We Saw at Coachella 2024,” going on to profess, “Carpenter already had put more effort into her set than some past Coachella headliners”. And just last month she made her debut as the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live.

Earlier this year, Sabrina made headlines as she joined Taylor Swift on the international leg of her highly acclaimed ERA’S Tour in Mexico, South America, Australia, and Singapore.

Smith Entertainment Group Officially Acquires NHL Franchise

Team Introduces Colors, Logos, and Uniforms for 2024-25 Season

Fans Encouraged to Continue Voting on the Official Team Name, which will be Introduced for the 2025-26 Season

SALT LAKE CITY (June 13, 2024) – Today, the National Hockey League (NHL) and Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) officially closed on the agreement that establishes an NHL franchise in Utah. While the community continues to vote for the official name of the team, for the 2024-2025  season, the team will be known as Utah Hockey Club – leading proudly with the state identity and accompanied by a more formal naming convention used by many of the League’s other member clubs. The second round of the team’s multi-phase voting process on a permanent name runs through June 20th. Coinciding with today’s launch, Utah Hockey Club introduced their 2024-25 uniforms, color palette, and logos.

“Today is a monumental day for the state of Utah as we officially close on the establishment of a new NHL franchise,” said Ryan Smith, governor of Utah Hockey Club and chairman of Smith Entertainment Group. “The NHL has been incredible to work with throughout this process, providing us with invaluable guidance and support. We have a ton of work to do–training camp starts in less than 100 days–and could not be more excited about what’s to come.”

Year One Brand Identity

In collaboration with renowned design firm Doubleday & Cartwright, Utah’s NHL franchise has developed their 2024-2025 season identity.

The color palette consists of Rock Black, representing the darkness of night in the mountains and the volcanic rock of Utah’s deserts; Salt White, illustrating both the snow on Utah’s peaks and the famous salt flats; and Mountain Blue, a representation of Utah’s rich winter sports history and its clear skies for more than 230 days a year. The distinctive colors will establish the cornerstone of the club’s brand as it evolves through the team’s name selection ahead of the 2025-2026 NHL season. The selected color palette for Utah’s first NHL team is also intentionally complementary to that of the Utah Jazz – also owned by SEG – whose expanded colors were introduced last week and include a similar Sky Blue as a tertiary color.

Utah Hockey Club also introduced five marks, each inspired by the team’s 2024-2025 jerseys, which serve as a catalyst for the team’s visual identity and set the stage for future branding efforts.

Inaugural Season Uniforms

Reflecting their state’s long-standing reverence for the sport, the club will don two jerseys during the 2024-25 NHL season that embody a clean, crisp, traditional aesthetic.

The team’s home uniform will be Rock Black with UTAH across the chest in stairstep lettering and feature Salt White and Mountain Blue striping across each arm, the bottom of the jersey, and on the socks. The team’s away uniform will be Salt White with UTAH across the chest in the same stairstep lettering. The away jersey will feature Rock Black and Mountain Blue striping. The inclusion of stairstep lettering, two-ply twill, zig-zag stitchdown appliqué, and triple striping on sleeves and socks complete the image of an emerging club steeped in the traditions of hockey’s heritage.

At the 2024 NHL Draft, Utah’s first-ever draft selections will put on an exclusive sleek, all-black NHL authentic jersey adorned with the same UTAH stairstep logo design that will be featured on the team’s 2024 – 2025 season uniforms.

The team’s apparel will first be available for purchase at the Team Store at Delta Center during the team’s free-to-attend 2024 NHL Draft Party on June 28. The 2024-25 uniforms will be available for purchase in Fall 2024.

Inaugural Season Tickets for Utah’s NHL Team

to Go On Sale June 7

Deposit holders invited to open house event at Delta Center to experience 2024-25 seat options before season tickets go on sale

Single-game tickets to go on sale later this summer,

with partial ice view tickets starting at $19

Franchise commits to launching a community ticket donation program

SALT LAKE CITY (June 4, 2024) – Season tickets for the inaugural season of Utah’s NHL franchise, which will be played at Delta Center, will go on sale Friday, June 7. Season ticket options for the upper and lower bowl include a full-season package inclusive of 42 preseason and regular season games, as well as half-season packages with 21 games, and select mini-plan options. Pricing will start at $44 per game per seat and vary based on location within the arena.

“The overwhelming support we received from fans who secured season ticket deposits highlights how passionate Utahns are for hockey and how excited they are for the NHL experience,” said Chris Barney, chief commercial officer. “We look forward to filling Delta Center and creating an electrifying atmosphere for our fans and players alike when the puck hits the ice this fall. Together, we will build a strong legacy for our NHL franchise that lasts for generations to come. ”

In the first month following the April 17 franchise announcement, fans have placed more than 34,000 season tickets under deposit for the 2024-25 season and that number continues to grow as others do the same. To ensure that the local community has the first chance to experience the action, season tickets for the inaugural season will be first offered to deposit holders with a Utah zip code.

Those who have placed a deposit are invited to attend an open house event at Delta Center June 4 through June 6, from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M., where they will be able to see the ice set up, view sight lines, and experience seat options for the team’s inaugural season. Additionally, attendees will be able to make updates to their deposit, view pricing and payment options, and meet with a representative to address questions about the ticket purchasing process.

Beginning Friday, June 7, and continuing through June, deposit holders will receive an invitation back to Delta Center during a designated timeframe, in the order in which they put down their deposit, to complete their season ticket purchase based on availability and further explore their payment options. Multiple payment options will be available including full, half now and half later, or a monthly plan. Those unable to make it to Delta Center will have the option to work with a representative to secure their seats over the phone.

Season ticket holders will receive exclusive access to a variety of benefits tailored to their selected package size including preferred pricing, discounts at concessions and the Team Store, priority access to playoff tickets, and more.

Delta Center will accommodate up to 16,000 fans during Utah’s first NHL season, with 10,000 seats featuring unobstructed views. Season ticket members who select half-season packages will be given the opportunity to purchase additional seats in the partial-ice view sections for games not included in their season ticket package.

Due to high demand, not all fans who placed a deposit may receive an opportunity to purchase 2024-25 season tickets. In such cases, those fans will be given priority access to purchase mini-plans and single-game tickets prior to the general public. Additionally, deposit holders who choose to keep their deposit with the team will be given select benefits, including priority access to purchase season tickets as hockey seating capacity expands each season.

Following the NHL schedule release later this summer, single-game options will become available. Partial ice view tickets will be available for select games, starting at $19. Utah’s NHL franchise is also committed to donating a variety of tickets each game to organizations and individuals within the community, similar to the years-long program by the Utah Jazz, which supports more than 440 community organizations and donates thousands of tickets to home games annually.

Smith Entertainment Group Opens Second Phase of Utah’s NHL Team Naming Survey

Fans invited to vote between the six fan favorites from round one today through June 20

SALT LAKE CITY (June 6, 2024) – Today, Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) launched the second round of its multi-phase survey process that invites fans to help pick the name of Utah’s NHL franchise. The 520,000 fans who voted in round one made it clear which six names are their resounding favorites (accounting for 60% of total votes), and SEG decided to include all six of those potential options in round two to see which emerge on top as fans continue narrowing it down.

Fans can cast their vote now through June 20 at 11:59 P.M. MT. The names fans can vote on in round two are (listed in alphabetical order):

  • Utah Blizzard

  • Utah Hockey Club (Utah HC)

  • Utah Mammoth

  • Utah Outlaws

  • Utah Venom

  • Utah Yeti

In their inaugural season (2024-25), Utah’s NHL franchise will don jerseys that display UTAH across the front as a reflection of the team’s new roots in the state and dedication to its fanbase. Once the team name has been selected, SEG and Doubleday & Cartwright will craft the team identity inclusive of the logo, mascot, and other branding elements, which will debut prior to the 2025-26 NHL season.

SEG has partnered with Qualtrics – the leading feedback and experience management provider – to conduct the NHL franchise naming survey. The study will employ best practice survey research methodology to ensure fairness, accuracy, and unbiased results including randomization, geo-location identification, progressive discrete choice analysis, the prevention of ballot box stuffing, encrypted data collection and storage. Backend analysis will also include deduplication and best practice statistical methods to ensure data integrity.

Details about the next step in the naming process will be announced in the coming months.

Utah Jazz Unveil New Uniforms and Expanded Color Palette Influenced by Mountain Basketball

The team also revealed their primary uniforms for the

2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons months ahead of schedule,

showcasing continued brand evolution

SALT LAKE CITY (June 5, 2024) – Today, the Utah Jazz introduced Mountain Basketball, a brand philosophy that has informed Jazz culture since 1979. Mountain Basketball embraces the spirit of Utah by tying together a passion for basketball, a dynamic community on the rise, and the impact of Utah’s mountainous environment on daily life. The Jazz also took the unprecedented step of unveiling the next two seasons of their primary uniforms to illustrate the prominence of purple and mountain symbolism in their jersey design and brand storytelling moving forward, with Mountain Purple, Midnight Black, and Sky Blue as new colors within the team’s expanded color palette.

“Our branding will always be an iterative process as we, our fanbase, and the game of basketball continue to grow,” said Ryan Smith, governor of the Utah Jazz. “It’s clear that Mountain Basketball and purple are at the soul of Utah and the Jazz, and we’re excited to share with our community what they have to look forward to.”

Working closely with Doubleday & Cartwright – a highly acclaimed creative consultancy and design studio – the Jazz developed this iteration of Mountain Basketball by studying Utah’s passion for the sport and how the mountains both influence its identity and symbolize a state on the rise – one that features a top economy and growing population, an in-demand outdoor lifestyle, and a developing reputation as a sports and entertainment powerhouse.

Utah boasts the most basketball courts per capita in the country, with courts in every neighborhood and most public parks and community centers. Utah’s mountains are home to the majority of the state’s population, with 85% of residents living within 15 miles of the Wasatch Front, which stretches from the Utah-Idaho border through central Utah. A video released today illustrates the impact of Mountain Basketball by showing Utah’s youth playing basketball in jerseys inspired by the new Jazz uniform designs. Youth basketball is a cornerstone of Utah’s basketball loyalty with 100,000 annual participants in Jazz youth programs, including 70,000 athletes who played Junior Jazz basketball, in the last year alone.

The Utah Jazz Uniform Evolution

During the 2024-25 season, the Jazz will wear four uniforms – two new designs and two existing jerseys. The team will wear the current Association Edition jersey – white with the black Jazz Note centerpiece and yellow detail – for the full season. The current Statement Edition jersey – black with yellow UTAH letters on the chest – will be worn through December 2024 until it transitions to a new black Statement Edition uniform in the Mountain Basketball color palette starting in January 2025. The 2024 City Edition uniform will feature a refreshed purple mountain design and be worn throughout the 2024-25 season.

In the 2025-26 season, the full influence of Mountain Basketball will be complete with the team wearing both a new primary white Association Edition uniform and a new purple uniform, which will debut as the team’s Icon Edition. These will be worn in addition to the black Statement Edition uniform introduced to the uniform line up in January 2025.

The four new uniforms revealed today lean into classic, beloved mountain imagery, and three of the jersey designs prioritize the bold UTAH logo on the chest. The iconic Jazz Note remains a central brand element across uniforms, apparel, content, and other team imagery, and #TakeNote continues to be the Jazz rallying cry. The Jazz will reveal new courts influenced by Mountain Basketball ahead of next season and will introduce the 2025 City Edition uniform next fall, once the 2025-26 season is underway.

Mountain Basketball apparel is available for purchase immediately both online and in person at the Utah Jazz Team Store inside Delta Center. The 2024-25 City Edition uniform will be available for purchase in Fall 2024, and the new Utah Jazz Statement Edition, influenced by Mountain Basketball, will be available in early 2025.

The Utah Jazz will host a pop-up merchandise event at Snowbird on Saturday, June 8, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. MT.  The first 100 attendees will receive a free gift with purchase, including either a Snowbird All-Day Activity Pass – valid any day during the 2024 summer season – or a Summer Scenic Tram Ride to Snowbird’s 11,000-foot Hidden Peak. An opportunity drawing for a 2024-25 Snowbird Summit Pass will also be conducted.

More information about Mountain Basketball is available at mountainbasketball.com.
